The TOBIQ Trolley 2.0 is here and better than ever!
This bag’s industry-rocking convertible design will leave your airline attendant in awe. The Trolley transforms from one complete carry-on into two separate items, allowing you to maximize carry-on capacity on large airlines and split it into a carry-on + personal item on smaller planes. You’ll love how the telescoping handle glides on the most durable wheel set on the market, and the multiple carry options make your dream trip to Italy a breeze—even on cobblestone streets.
And now? We’ve leveled it up.
The newest version includes a hidden Kickstand System tucked inside the bottom zipper compartment. This custom-engineered design pivots into place when you want your bag standing upright, then pivots back down when collapsing the bag for storage. This keeps your Trolley perfectly balanced—even when completely empty—making packing, unpacking, and airport check-ins smoother than ever.
Whether it’s beating rigid airline requirements or giving you a personal item once you arrive, the Convertible Trolley morphs to fit your travel needs. We prototyped this bag across the globe for years and can’t wait to see how you adventure with the Convertible TOBIQ Trolley.

Let me start by saying, I am a huge fan of all things Tobiq. We have several 60L, 30L, Toiletry Bags and Flip Bags. We travel frequently and use them all domestic and internationally.
I love all the compartments for our travel. They help us to separate our electronics, chargers, change of clothes and snacks, so that we do not have to hunt through the one large bag. My 9 year old and 13 year old each travel with their own 30L, and even filled, the weight is no issue and is very comfortable for them to carry with the padded back panel and straps and they fit under the seat in front of us or in the over head if we prefer more foot room.
The Trolley bag has all the same functions of the regular 60L Tobiq bags, but with a nice addition of a separate side that detaches, so you can use it as a carry on bag and detach the back side to just carry the duffle option.
I do wish the Trolley had 4 wheels and a pull out out bottle holder that the duffle versions have so that when I use it backpack style I have a place for my water bottle. While the wheels do function on the bag, I would love to see a future edition have 4 wheels, so it can be pulled or pushed like a carry on suitcase standing upright.
When I travel with my kids and I use the Trolley bag, it can be a bit awkward to pull the Trolley while also using my other carry on luggage that has 4 wheels that allow for us to have the luggage upright and easier to maneuver. The trolley is too heavy for me to carry backpack style when fully loaded, so I prefer using the wheels.
I have Trolley 1.0, so it does not stand up on its own which is a bummer, as it does fall over without it. The newer 2.0 version that is out has the ability to stand upright, so its nice they make adjustments to their products, I just wish the one I already bought had the upgrade as well.
As an additional note, I love the sleek fabric, as it is rain resistant and so easy to dry and wipe down. I recommend Tobiq often in travel groups and to friends and family!
There has got to be a way to implement the multi-directional glide wheels with this concept. It was so difficult pulling the luggage bag through airports, hotels, trains, and ferries. The only thing that saved me was the option of the backpack straps— but even then it was difficult as it is a heavy bag. I love the concept of the pull apart bag, though with the soft side of the wheel side, I would have never been comfortable checking it on my flights. Needs a harder front for when they are separated.
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the pull-apart design and backpack straps. We’ll take your notes on the wheels and hard shell into consideration for future improvements.
I received my Trolley Convertible Roller today. Badlands was my least favorite of all the colors, but the only one in stock. I prefer bright colors, but I guess I’ll learn to like it. I have it packed it for my upcoming short trip. Rolling is great, and it does stand perfectly with the kickstands. Pockets are great, and the base is pretty much what I was searching for when I bought it. The only thing I was disappointed in are the straps inside the base. They are impossible to tighten while they are buckled. I had to unbuckle them, tighten and then rebuckle them several times before I got them tight enough. I’m accustomed to fastening and then pulling the straps to tighten. Also, the straps are very stiff and scratchy, and not as good of quality as all my other pieces of luggage. I would suggest an improvement in this area. I may look into a way to change them out on my trolley so they work to my liking. I travel a lot so strap function is very important especially when I separate the pieces. Other than that, I do love it and glad I purchased it.
Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re glad you love the trolley’s pockets, rolling function, and kickstands, and we appreciate your suggestions about the base straps for future improvements.
My daughter found your company while visiting Grand Junction. The first bag she asked for was the 60L duffel and loved it! She loved how easy it was to organize 3 kids in it! After that first purchase, we have now purchased 2 backpacks, 5 toiletries bags and my latest purchase was the trolley roller bag, which I absolutely love! I have always had a hard time organizing my travel bags and all of these bags have helped me tremendously! They are also such great quality.
I was struggling about ordering the trolley and sent many questions to the company. Bonnie was so helpful and actually met up with me on my recent trip to Grand Junction! That is customer service! I highly recommend this company and all of their quality items!
Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re thrilled to hear our bags are helping you stay organized and that Bonnie was able to assist you personally. We truly appreciate your support and recommendation!
I haven’t used this for travel yet but I can already tell I am going to love it! It truly stands up on its own! I’m super familiar with the individual sections and I love them!! I love that the straps can be used in a couple different ways. Truly this is the best designed luggage ever.
So excited for you to take it on your first trip!
