Our Sourcing Philosophy

At TOBIQ Travel, we believe the products we create should leave a positive impact long after the adventure ends. We design durable travel gear intended to reduce waste through longevity rather than replacement. We prioritize high-quality recycled materials whenever practical and intentionally partner with manufacturers who share our commitment to environmental responsibility, ethical business practices, and continuous improvement. Our goal is not simply to make exceptional travel products. It is to build a supply chain that reflects the values we hope our customers experience every time they pack a TOBIQ bag: thoughtful design, responsible choices, and care for people and the planet. We recognize that sustainability is a journey. We are committed to continually evaluating our materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier relationships to improve our environmental and social impact over time.

Our Manufacturing Partners

TOBIQ Travel seeks long-term relationships with manufacturing partners that demonstrate leadership in responsible manufacturing. Whenever possible, we prioritize facilities that maintain internationally recognized third-party certifications or auditing programs, including bluesign®, SMETA, or equivalent standards. We expect every manufacturing partner to comply with applicable laws and operate according to the following principles.

Transparency

Manufacturing partners shall operate with honesty and transparency regarding factory operations, ownership, subcontracting, sourcing practices, and compliance documentation. Suppliers are expected to cooperate with audits and maintain accurate records.

Non-Discrimination

Employment decisions shall be based on qualifications, experience, and performance without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, nationality, or other legally protected characteristics.

Harassment and Abuse

Every worker shall be treated with dignity and respect. Physical punishment, coercion, threats, verbal abuse, intimidation, harassment, or any form of workplace abuse will not be tolerated.

Recruiting and Hiring

Employment shall always be voluntary. Suppliers shall prohibit forced labor, bonded labor, prison labor, human trafficking, and child labor. Recruitment practices shall comply with local law and internationally recognized labor standards.

Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

Workers shall have the right to freely associate and bargain collectively where permitted by law. Where legal restrictions exist, suppliers shall provide lawful alternative channels for worker communication and representation.

Hours of Work

Working hours, overtime, rest periods, and days off shall comply with applicable labor laws. Overtime should be voluntary whenever possible and managed in a manner that protects worker health and well-being.

Compensation

Workers shall receive wages, overtime compensation, and benefits that meet or exceed all applicable legal requirements.

Health and Safety

Manufacturing partners shall provide a safe and healthy workplace through proper training, emergency preparedness, sanitation, ventilation, personal protective equipment, machine safety, and access to clean drinking water and restroom facilities.

Environmental Responsibility

Environmental stewardship is a core value at TOBIQ Travel. We strive to reduce our environmental footprint by selecting durable products, incorporating recycled materials whenever practical, and partnering with suppliers who actively work to reduce their impact. Manufacturing partners are expected to comply with environmental laws, responsibly manage chemicals, reduce waste and emissions, improve energy and water efficiency, support recycled materials, and maintain systems of continuous improvement. Preference is given to suppliers participating in recognized environmental programs such as bluesign® or equivalent sustainability initiatives.

We value suppliers who contribute positively to their local communities through fair employment, workforce development, and responsible corporate citizenship.

Continuous Improvement

TOBIQ Travel views responsible sourcing as an ongoing commitment rather than a fixed destination. We regularly evaluate our materials, manufacturing partners, and business practices to identify opportunities for improvement. As our company grows, we remain committed to strengthening environmental performance, supporting ethical manufacturing, and building long-term partnerships with suppliers who share our values.
