A name rooted in family. A bag born from real life.

As a mom of four, Mel Frandsen was constantly on the move. Sports, road trips, the outdoors, hospital visits, everyday chaos. A duffel was never just a duffel. It was cleats, trail shoes, snacks, chargers and everything else that somehow needed to come along.

And it was all fighting for space in what felt like a giant black hole.

So Mel decided to build something better.

FROM A RIVER VALLEY TO A BAG THAT GOES EVERYWHERE

The name TOBIQ comes from the Tobique River Valley in Eastern Canada, where Mel spent summers with her mom's side of the family.

Those summers sparked a lifelong love of adventure, connection and getting outside.

Years later, that same feeling became the foundation for TOBIQ.

After her fourth child was born, Mel stopped waiting for the perfect bag to exist.

She designed it herself.

The idea was simple: create a “dresser on the go.”

A place for everything, so you're not digging through the bottom of a bottomless bag to find what you need.

Built for parents, travelers, adventurers and everyone in between.

Because life doesn't fit in one compartment. And neither should your adventure.

We're a women-operated company built around real life, creativity and adventure. And we're committed to giving back along the way, from donating returned bags to foster families to supporting communities and organizations that help people get where they need to go.

When Mel's partner, Jonny, survived a widow-maker heart attack, that belief became even more personal.

It reminded us that every day is a gift, and that getting where you need to go isn't something everyone can take for granted.

That's why TOBIQ gives 5% of profits to help people travel for cancer treatment, helping ease the financial burden of getting to care.

Because sometimes the most important journey isn't a vacation.

It's getting to the people and places you need most.
