Visit TOBIQ at Swiss Days 2025: Midway, Utah's Festival You Don't Want to Miss

Every Labor Day weekend, the mountain town of Midway, Utah, throws one of the biggest parties in the state - and everyone’s invited! It’s called Swiss Days, and if you’ve never been, picture this: streets packed with artisan booths, the smell of pastries in the air, live music spilling through the crowd, and families strolling with armfuls of handmade treasures. It’s the perfect mix of shopping, food, music, and that gorgeous Wasatch Mountain backdrop. Whether you’re coming for a day trip or making a weekend out of it, Swiss Days is where summer goes out with a bang. It’s part small-town charm, part giant festival, and all heart. And this year, TOBIQ is joining the fun!

Tens of thousands of people show up every year. One of those longtime festival-goers is Alyse Fullmer, part of the TOBIQ team and a Swiss Days fan through and through. "One year I went on my due date - I was dilated to a 4 or 5, but I couldn’t miss Swiss Days. I was induced the next day and had my baby boy. That’s how much I love it,” she says with a laugh.

What Makes Swiss Days So Fun?

Swiss Days is Midway’s way of celebrating its Swiss heritage with an unforgettable mix of shopping, food, music, and family fun. More than 180 vendors fill the streets, and for Alyse and her family, there are a few non-negotiables. “We always go get wrapping paper,” she laughs. “It’s this big fat roll from an Utah vendor with really cute designs, and there’s always a line for it. It’s kind of our family tradition - we don’t leave without it.”

The vendor booths are a treasure hunt of handmade goods, from soaps and posters to jewelry and décor. “I love the soap lady, and there’s this booth with adorable posters that make perfect teacher gifts,” Alyse says.

The food is another highlight, with options ranging from Navajo tacos and corn to hamburgers, berries and cream, and festival classics.

One of her favorite things is to go up a little early and enjoy breakfast. “It just makes the whole experience better,” Alyse explains. “You can grab breakfast around 7 or 7:30 before the booths open, find a parking spot more easily, and then you’re ready to shop when it all kicks off at 8 a.m. The morning is cool and crisp, and by the time it warms up, you’re already strolling through all the vendors. It’s just the cutest little town, and the atmosphere is so fun.”

Insider Tips for a Smooth Swiss Days

After more than 14 years of attending, Alyse has a few extra tips to share. If you’re heading up, get there early because parking fills fast and traffic backs up quickly. Bring a little cash just in case, wear comfy shoes, and keep a water bottle handy.

"Don’t bring a stroller," Alyse warns, "because it’s really hard to navigate with the crowds and the grass."

And don't forget to take a pause from shopping to enjoy the entertainment. The festival has live performances throughout the day, including singing, dancing, and even a little parade.

Swiss Days is open from 8am - 8pm, but you don't have to stay the whole day to enjoy the festivities. “We usually leave after lunch when it starts getting busier,” Alyse shares. “That way, you can beat the traffic and maybe stop at some of the cute places on the way home.”

TOBIQ at Swiss Days

This year is extra exciting for TOBIQ because we’ll have a booth at Swiss Days for the very first time! Even better, we’re bringing something brand new: the TOBIQ Baby Bag. Designed for parents who want durability, organization, and adventure-ready style, the Baby Bag is a fresh take on the traditional diaper bag. Shoppers will also find our full line of TOBIQ duffels - bags built to make organization easy for travel, adventure, and everyday life.

Alyse, who will be working in the booth, can’t wait. “I feel so excited to see Swiss Days from the vendor side this year,” she says. “I think it will be so exciting to see what goes on behind the scenes and to help other shoppers."

See You at Swiss Days!

Swiss Days is part tradition, part shopping spree, and part community celebration - and this year, it’s also the spot to get your hands on TOBIQ’s brand new Baby Bag. Come say hi to Alyse and the TOBIQ team, shop our durable duffels, and experience Swiss Days like a local.
