Happy Earth Day, TOBIQ friends! We know so many of you are as passionate as we are about traveling around our beautiful world and soaking up the various sites, cultures, and landscapes. Our experiences and lifestyles may be diverse, but calling this dynamic blue marble our home is a thread that runs through each of us, binding us together in the cause to care. We are proud to join other businesses and individuals around the world by doing what we can to reduce, reuse, and recycle. The love we have for our planet and the responsibility to care for it are literally woven into every TOBIQ bag.
Have you ever gotten a free or inexpensive bag that you used just a few times before it wore out? What a waste for it to end up in our landfills! Our bags were thoughtfully designed with an aim for minimalism, organization, and durability. We proudly offer a lifetime warranty on our products. Our hope is that you use your TOBIQ bag for anything and everything it can carry, and that it stays with you instead of ending up in the trash. So many friends in our TOBIQ community have shared the numerous ways they use their bags: medical bags, diaper bags, sports gear bags, and travel bags. There are so many ways to use them!
We take quality control seriously over here. If a bag has a minor defect, or has been returned, we inspect and repackage them for a discount during our "Seconds Bags" sales - (which you really seem to love)! Sometimes, during inspections, we find bags that are unsuitable for resale. We don't throw those bags away. Remember that lifetime warranty we mentioned? If customers send back bags that have flaws, we don't throw those bags away. With the help of a very talented local seamstress, Sue Harmon, the bags get stitched up for a very special purpose. These are our "Thirds Bags," and they are donated in small batches to Grand Junction's Project 167, which provides necessities to our local foster youth. We love being able to repurpose our bags while helping our local community!
As a small business, we've made a conscious effort to use sustainable, eco-friendly products that deliver on durability. Our bags are now made with CORDURA re/cor RPET fabric. According to CORDURA, this "100% recycled high-tenacity polyester yarn is created from discarded bottles and packaging." It's designed with an eye for durability and waste avoidance.
